The United States has imposed visa restrictions on Chinese officials involved in a massive crackdown against Uighurs and other Muslim minorities.

The State Department stated it would not issue visas to Chinese government and Communist Party officials believed to be responsible for or complicit in mass detentions and abuses in western Xinjiang province.

“The United States calls on the People’s Republic of China to immediately end its campaign of repression in Xinjiang, release all those arbitrarily detained, and cease efforts to coerce members of Chinese Muslim minority groups residing abroad to return to China to face an uncertain fate,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement.

“The protection of human rights is of fundamental importance, and all countries must respect their human rights obligations and commitments,” He added. “The United States will continue to review its authorities to respond to these abuses.”

The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not immediately comment on the U.S. ban. China has consistently denied committing any mistreatment.

Nonetheless, there is now irrefutable evidence that the Chinese regime abuses and even murders Muslims and members of other religious communities.

The Associated Press reported that Chinese minorities were locked in detention camps and forced to work for the regime. Clothing is being made and sold to a company that provides sportswear to U.S. colleges, sports teams. @dakekang @yananw @mendozamartha reports.

Republican U.S. Senator Tom Cotton praised the decision to ban Chinese officials involved in the human rights abuses and urged U.S. allies to follow suit. Chinese “officials who place Uighurs and other minority groups in concentration camps shouldn’t be allowed to visit the United States and enjoy our freedoms.”

The State Department announcement came a day after the Commerce Department blacklisted 28 Chinese entities that develop facial recognition and other artificial intelligence technology the U.S. says is being used to repress Muslim minorities.

Also recently, irrefutable evidence of the murder of spiritual followers of the Chinese traditional practice known as Falun Gong by the Chinese regime was presented to the United Nations in Geneva on Sept. 24.

“Victim for victim and death for death, the gassing of the Jews by the Nazis, the massacre by the Khmer Rouge or the butchery to death of the Rwanda Tutsis may not be worse than cutting out the hearts and other organs from living, blameless, harmless, peaceable people,” International human rights lawyer Hamid Sabi said.
