With international pressure mounting on the Chinese government over the possibility that the virus that caused the pandemic may have escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan and that it may be sued for millions of dollars in damages. As a result, the CCP called for an investigation into the origin of the coronavirus at a U.S. military base.
The United States “should immediately launch a virus origins-tracing study on itself” and grant global scientists access to its military laboratories, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian asserted Thursday.
Lijian took specific aim at the U.S. military’s biological laboratory at Fort Detrick, Maryland.
“How many secrets are hidden in the US’ Fort Detrick lab and other biolabs overseas from the rest of the world?” Zhao asked. “What is the truth of the outbreaks of respiratory disease in northern Virginia in July 2019 and the e-cigarette, or vaping, associated lung injury (EVALI) outbreak in Wisconsin? The US owes the world an explanation.”
In 2019, several cases of lung disease were reported in Maryland that the CCP spokesman accuses the U.S. government of covering up. However, they ultimately diagnosed them as lung injuries caused by e-cigarettes.
What is most ironic about the Chinese government’s accusations is that subsequent investigations found that the lung lesions were caused by illicit substances of Chinese origin sold for e-cigarettes.
There was no epidemic in Maryland anyway, nor are the lung lesions contagious, so Lijian’s statements ridicule the official and his clumsy attempt to evade responsibility, minimally for having lied about the origin of the coronavirus.
Wisconsin did not even have any lung injury cases, so it is even less clear what the Chinese Communist regime’s spokesman is trying to point out.
The CCP’s constantly changing narrative and propaganda campaigns failed to bury the leak theory
The first news of the outbreak of the CCP Virus in Wuhan took everyone by surprise. Initially, with the strength of its state media and propaganda spokespersons, the Chinese government gave life to the theory that a seafood market in Wuhan had been the source of the COVID infection, where a person died of the infection a few days later.
The Internet was flooded with videos of Chinese people eating almost live bats in soup or directly as if it were sushi. The scenes convinced the world that the ‘dirty Chinese’ and their ‘unsanitary practices’ were to blame for such a deadly virus infecting people.
However, U.S. intelligence pointed to the Wuhan Institute of Infectious Diseases (WVI), located a few meters from the seafood market, as the possible source of the virus because scientists there had been experimenting with the dangerous coronaviruses found mainly in bats.
In addition to that, bats cannot pass the virus directly to humans, at least there would have to be an evolution or an intermediary for it to infect human cells.
Videos of the WIV’s chief scientist giving talks on the possibility of modifying the protein tips of coronaviruses so that they can infect humans surfaced on the Internet, and the theory gained momentum.
The WVI is an entity that works under the sponsorship of the Chinese government and in fact, as it became known as the information emerged, this laboratory even received millions of dollars in funding from the U.S. government, specifically from Dr. Fauci’s office at the National Institutes of Health (NHI).
From the beginning, the CCP tried to kill this hypothesis by accusing the Trump Administration of having carried the virus during military games that occurred during the winter in China.
Then, in an operation orchestrated by the CCP, the WHO sent a group of scientists to ‘independently investigate’ the theory, but none of them could access the data, evidence, or locations, so that investigation was discarded, and the theory continued to stand.
Now when all the eyes of the world are on WIV, the CCP once again creates a new version of events to divert attention, but why?
Multimillion lawsuits will put China in the dock
According to a Breitbart analysis, if it were to be confirmed that the virus escaped from the lab with the complicity of the CCP, Americans could sue the Chinese government under an exception to Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act (FSIA).
The FSIA exception explains that Americans could sue China in ” Cases in which money damages are sought against a foreign state for personal injury or death, or damage to or loss of property, occurring in the United States and caused by the tortious act or omission of that foreign state or of any official or employee of that foreign state while acting within the scope of his office or employment.”
After the attack on the twin towers, the U.S. government allowed the victims to sue the Saudi Arabian government under this exception within the Alien Immunity Act, so the precedent exists, and this could be exponentially larger.
Many countries around the world could follow the example of the United States and join the lawsuits, something catastrophic for the Chinese communist regime that considering the crimes against humanity it has committed in its more than 70 years in power in China, it is time for it to sit in the dock and answer for its crimes.
