U.S. Central Command says it is aware of reports of "harassment and attempts to interfere with" the passage of the British Heritage near the Strait of Hormuz by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard's naval forces.

The command posted a statement on its website Thursday, saying "Threats to international shipping require an international solution."  It also said, "The world economy depends on the free flow of commerce, and it is incumbent on all nations to protect and preserve this lynchpin of global prosperity."
