Hong Kong has experienced over two months of mass protests calling for democratic reforms. A bill presented before it’s legislature that would have make it possible for those accused of crimes against mainland China to be extradited to the mainland and held for Trial there is what sparked the protests. That bill has been squashed but the protests continue. Through it all, Hong Kongers have not let up, and their voices are getting louder, and some of those voices are becoming very American. Today on the big re-think, I’ll talk about how all the way on the other side of the Planet, they are singing the American Anthem and waving the American flag, while here in the Great United States of America, they are kneeling to the National Anthem, and burning American Flags.
