The Covid pandemic continues to expand in Beijing, forcing authorities to close many places but are not announcing a lockdown.

According to a U.S.-based media, four districts in the Chinese capital, including Chaoyang and Fengtai, have urgently announced an extension of control measures and continue to adopt lockdown-like management and implement home office management.

The other 12 administrative districts must conduct a second round of nucleic acid testing for three consecutive days, starting from May 16.

More than 90 subway stations in Beijing are shut down.
