Over 230 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, to April 26, 2021.
During the period, 3,848 people have died, and 118,902 adverse reactions have been reported in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Impact News reported.
Children’s deaths are now being recorded as a result of COVID-19 vaccinations.
At least five children have died due to COVID injections, including a 5-month-old baby who was not injected but was breastfed by her mother.
Below are some of the child-related cases:
VAERS ID: 1166062: On March 17, 2020, while at work, the patient received a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Her 5-month-old breastfed infant developed a rash on March 18, 2020, and was inconsolable within 24 hours, refusing to feed and developing a fever. The patient took the baby to a nearby ER for evaluations, and blood tests showed elevated liver enzymes. The infant was admitted to the hospital, but he began to deteriorate and died. TTP is diagnosed. There are no known allergies. There have been no new exposures since the mother was vaccinated the previous day.
VAERS ID: 1242573: 15-year-old male, Colorado. Heart failure.
VAERS ID: 1187918: 15-year-old female, New Hampshire. I’m not sure when the first or second Moderna Vaccine was published. I am the PICU nurse who cared for the patient after she had a cardiac arrest 3-4 days after receiving her second Moderna Vaccine.
VAERS ID: 1225942: 16-year-old female, Wisconsin. The patient was a 16-year-old female who received a Pfizer vaccine at a vaccine clinic on 3/19/21 and reported to the ED on 3/28/21 with continuing CPR following a cardiac arrest at home. The patient was placed on ECMO, and imaging showed a bilateral large pulmonary embolism as the most likely cause of the cardiac arrest. Oral contraceptive use was one of the risk factors. Since then, labs have verified that there is no Factor V leiden or prothrombin gene mutation. On 3/30/21, the patient was pronounced dead based on neurologic criteria.
VAERS ID: 1243516: (Same as 1225942?) 16-year-old female, Wisconsin. At home, there is a hemodynamic collapse. ECMO is required in the case of persistent cardiac arrest. The event is thought to have occurred as a result of a pulmonary embolism. Neurologic requirements determine death.
VAERS ID: 1218081 also 1218081: 17-year-old female, Wisconsin. The patient had trouble breathing and chest pain and died as a result of cardiac arrest. As she was in the process of self-catheterization on 4/10/21, she started having trouble breathing and chest pain, according to the hospital’s post mortem report. She passed out shortly after and was not breathing. When EMS arrived, she was apneic and had no electrical activity. Upon arrival at the ED, resuscitation began and was continued. Despite an estimated 45-50 minutes of resuscitation, she remained in PEA except for a brief duration of returned pulses. On April 10, 2021, at 11:20 A.M., she passed away. On April 12, 2021, taken directly from the pathology study.
VAERS ID: 1243487: In Michigan, a 17-year-old male with a history of mental illness committed suicide eight days after receiving the injection.
Each case report of death is reviewed by the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) physicians as soon as they were informed, and the CDC requested medical records to analyze reports further.
CDC and FDA will continue to look at cases of adverse reactions, including deaths, reported to VAERS.
