Following his victory on Saturday, Sept. 19, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Colby Covington gave an impassioned speech, suggesting that President Donald Trump’s victory on Nov. 3 would be even more impressive.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the silent majority is ready to make some noise,” Covington said. “If you thought that was a beating, wait till November 3 when Donald Trump gets his hands on Sleepy Joe. That’s gonna be a landslide.”

Covington dedicated the victory to first responders and the military, saying, “This world would not be safe without you guys. You keep us safe and not these woke athletes. I’m sick of these woke athletes and [these] spineless cowards like LeBron James.”

ESPN reported:

Colby Covington settled the score, won bragging rights over his biggest rival, and perhaps earned another title shot.

The UFC welterweight star defeated Tyron Woodley via TKO at 1 minute, 19 seconds of the fifth round Saturday night in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.

The finish was a bizarre one. Covington took Woodley down against the cage. While Woodley was going for a guillotine choke with Covington on top of him, Woodley screamed out in pain with an apparent injury.

After his fight, Covington received a congratulatory phone call from President Trump when he was conducting a post-fight interview, the New York Post reported.

“You are a great fighter, man,” President Trump told Covington. “You make it so easy. I don’t know how you do that. Congratulations. I wanted to watch that fight tonight. I wanted to watch it. You were great.”

Covington, who had recently attended a Trump rally, donned a “keep America great” cap after the fight and credited the president for his win.

“Thank you, Mr. President,” Covington said. “You gave me the dragon energy when you shook my hand on Sunday at your rally.”

“I’m proud of you. I’m a big fan and I’m proud of you,” President Trump said. “You’re tough. You are something … I appreciated the shout out tonight, too. I’m your fan, you’re my fan. Two of a kind.”

“Nothing makes me prouder than fighting for the people who fight for America!!! THANK YOU to all the brave men and women of law enforcement and the military!!! Thank You @realDonaldTrump for all the love and support!! The silent majority is ready to make some noise November 3rd!!” Covington tweeted after the fight.
