Bill Barr, the former head of the Justice Department who served under President Trump, gave a June 27 interview to ABC News and accused the former president of promoting lies referring to Trump’s allegations of voter fraud.

Donald Trump released a statement this Sunday, replying to Bill Barr’s statements:

“It’s people in authority like Bill Barr that allow the crazed Radical Left to succeed. He and other RINOs in the Republican Party are being used in order to try to convince people that the election was legitimate when so many incredible facts have now come out to show conclusively that it wasn’t,” Trump wrote.

Still head of the Justice Department in Dec. 2020, Barr said that “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.”

His statements put him at odds with the then-president. Shortly thereafter, he resigned by publishing a letter addressed to Trump. He certainly acknowledged the president’s accomplishments and strong character to move the country forward despite the attacks against him.

However, in the interview published in the questionable and controversial media outlet The Atlantic, Barr had rather harsh words against Trump.

“My attitude was: It was put-up or shut-up time. If there was evidence of fraud, I had no motive to suppress it. But my suspicion all the way along was that there was nothing there. It was all bulls**t,” the lawyer said.

“We realized from the beginning it was just bulls**t. It’s a counting machine, and they save everything that was counted. So, you just reconcile the two. There had been no discrepancy reported anywhere, and I’m still not aware of any discrepancy,” Barr said.

However, in his statement, Trump leaves exposed the contradictions of Barr. In an interview with CNN, Trump warned that Democrats were hastily changing the voting rules to ‘flood the system’ with mail-in ballots in a clear fraudulent maneuver.

Barr even revealed the tone with which he disputed the former president, “You know, you only have five weeks, Mr. President, after an election to make legal challenges. This would have taken a crackerjack team with a really coherent and disciplined strategy. Instead, you have a clown show. No self-respecting lawyer is going anywhere near it. It’s just a joke. That’s why you are where you are,” the former chief justice exclaimed.

Trump reminded Barr of the Fulton County, Georgia, security video showing a clerk pulling out suitcases full of ballots to count when no one was left in the room.

“If there was no fraud, why are Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and other States spending so much time and effort on exposing the fraud?” the former president wrote.

Barr also revealed in his interview that Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell strongly urged him to deny the former president’s claims of fraud, fearing that the party’s image would be damaged and they would not be able to win the election.

“Now it was revealed that Barr was being pushed to tell lies about the election by Mitch McConnell, another beauty, who was worried about damaging the Republicans chances in the Georgia runoff,” Trump wrote.

“What really damaged the Senate Republicans was allowing their races to be rigged and stolen, and worse, the American people to no longer believe their vote matters because spineless RINOs like Bill Barr and Mitch McConnell did nothing,” he added.

Trump also recalled the Justice Department’s inaction in prosecuting and convicting the corrupt Democratic FBI officials. They built the case for Trump’s impeachment based on a fabricated lie to get him out of the White House.

“Bill Barr was a disappointment in every sense of the word. Besides which, Barr, who was Attorney General (lawyer) shouldn’t be speaking about the President,” Trump wrote.

“Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people within the Justice Department not to investigate the election. Just like he did with the Mueller report and the cover up of Crooked Hillary and RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, they don’t want to investigate the real facts. Bill Barr’s weakness helped facilitate the cover up of the Crime of the Century, the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!”
