A mother in Westhampton Township, New Jersey, is pleading for the public’s help after discovering that her missing 17-year-old daughter has appeared on sex-trafficking websites.
Angelica Scarlett said she has been told by investigators that pornographic images of her daughter, Aviana Weaver, have been found online and that she looks completely upset and unhappy, New Jersey 101.5 reported.
“The streets can’t have my daughter!” Scarlett said.
Weaver has been missing since Sept. 12, when she was last seen in Mount Holly, New Jersey, wearing a nude-colored tank top, black jeans, and leopard-print slides, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Weaver is of mixed race—black, white, and Hispanic—around 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. Her hair and eyes are brown.
Scarlett said her daughter’s cellphone was last pinged in Philadelphia on Sunday, Sept. 22, but it was then turned off.
This is not like her daughter to vanish and she does not have a history of running away, Scarlett shared.
“She went to school for the first few days and then disappeared. She missed an eye doctor appointment. She doesn’t have any clothes,” Scarlett continued. “She hasn’t been known to be on any drugs. We don’t have family or friends in Philadelphia. It’s completely out of character and scary.”
In an interview with the television station, Scarlett said she would not stop searching until her daughter is located.
If you have any information about Weaver’s location, please call Westampton Township (New Jersey) Police at 1-609-267-8300, 911 or 1-800-843-5678.
