Police are investigating after a fisherman found a body stuffed in a bag and wrapped in a blanket near Cypress Creek.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said a man was about to go fishing in the 4200 block of Treaschwig Road Wednesday, Sept. 11, when he found the body about 30 yards away from the banks of the creek at 12:30 p.m.

He called 911, bringing into the Spring region a flurry of law enforcement activity.

Deputies have not released any other information about the discovered body.

Based on evidence, investigators believe the body was left in the area within the last 24 hours, and that it appears a vehicle drove down the dirt frontage road that leads to the creek to dump the body.

Deputy constables are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or make an anonymous tip online at www.Crime-Stoppers.org.
