It doesn’t matter how much President Trump does for America; his critics will always be trying to bring him down. It’s just the nature of the beast. Many supporters, however, are willing to give the president his due. This senator is among them.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), complimented President Trump shortly after U.S. special forces destroyed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Saturday night, Oct. 26.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Sunday, he praised the president for ordering the military troops to carry out the raid that killed the ISIS leader. “The killing of Baghdadi is a game changer in the war on terror,” said Graham, adding that the president has not been given enough credit for it. “The president has been determined for a very long time,” said Graham from the White House podium.

“When it comes to terrorism, the president changed the rules of engagement. Do you think the caliphate destroyed itself? He’s had a determination to destroy the caliphate unlike anybody I’ve ever met,” said Graham.

Graham said he likes what he sees in Syria, “We really don’t need a bunch of Americans in the safe zone. The international community should do that. But some American forces deployed with the[Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)] to make sure the oil does not ever fall back in the hands of ISIS and make sure Iran is not the biggest winner,” he added. ISIS is not a group that can be dealt with diplomatically.

Graham said in a tweet: “ISIS is as a depraved organization that’s ever existed in the history of the world. They are religious Nazis. They cannot be accommodated. They cannot be negotiated with, and they have to be destroyed.”

In an incredible act of cooperation, Turkey, Russia, and the Kurds all worked in with America’s plan.

“Last night, the best of America confronted the worst of mankind, and the good guys won,” said Graham.

In a statement from the president on Sunday on the death of Baghdadi, he said, “I want to thank the nations of Russia, Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, and I also want to thank the Syrian Kurds for certain support they were able to give us. Thank you as well to the great intelligence professionals who helped make this very successful journey possible,” said the president.

“Terrorists who oppress and murder innocent people should never sleep soundly, knowing that we will completely destroy them. These savage monsters will not escape their fate—and they will not escape the final judgment of God,” said the president.

Well done, Mr. President.
