Kyle Rittenhouse, acquitted after a nationally-watched trial, has slammed Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger, the lead prosecutor in his trial. He describes Binger as corrupt and who only wanted to use the case to make a name for himself.

“In my belief, the prosecutorial misconduct in this case is ridiculous,” Rittenhouse told Fox News host Tucker Carlson in an interview airing on Tuesday night, Nov. 23.

“They knew I was innocent, but they still decided to bring these charges to make their name, to have a name. They wanted my head on their shelf,” Rittenhouse said.

A jury declared on Nov. 19 that Rittenhouse was not guilty of murder for fatally shooting two men and injuring a third during riots last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

In the interview, Carlson mentioned the prosecutors’ decision to provide the defense a compressed, difficult-to-see version of drone footage while keeping a high-resolution version of the footage themselves. The Fox News host asked Rittenhouse about the motivation of Binger.

“Assistant District Attorney Binger is a corrupt person who just wants to make a name for himself and not look at the facts,” Rittenhouse responded.

“I used to be a fan of the prosecutors, not anymore. I believe there are still good prosecuting attorneys out there. But he is a prosecuting attorney that wants to make a name for himself and he is supposed to speak the truth and nothing but the truth but he decided he wanted to lie and try to put me in prison for the rest of my life for defending myself,” he added.

“That must be shocking for you as a kid to realize the system can destroy someone who they know doesn’t deserve to be destroyed just for political reasons,” Carlson asked.

“It’s sickening, because this is a case that never had—that shouldn’t have—this is a case that has nothing to do with politics, but politics were brought into it for people’s own agenda,” Rittenhouse replied.
