President Donald Trump announced the establishment of Project 1776, which will provide patriotic education in the country, to achieve an understanding of the country’s shared identity and national unity.

“It will encourage our educators to teach our children about the miracle of American history and make plans to honor the 250th anniversary of our founding,” President Trump said during an American history conference at the White House on Sept. 17.

“Our mission is to defend the legacy of America’s founding, the virtue of America’s heroes, and the nobility of the American character …” Trump reiterated in one of his tweets.

He added, “We want our sons and daughters to know that they are the citizens of the most exceptional nation in the history of the world.”

“The only path to national unity is through our shared identity as Americans,” he said.

“That is why it is so urgent that we finally restore patriotic education to our schools,” Trump said in his speech.

“Our heroes will never be forgotten. Our youth will be taught to love America with all their hearts,” he said.

Trump also alluded to the leftist message that “has deformed, distorted, and desecrated American history with deceit, falsehoods, and lies. There is no better example than the New York Times’ discredited Project 1619.

He explained about Project 1619: “This project rewrites American history to teach our children that we were founded on the principle of oppression, not freedom.

“The founding of America set in motion the unstoppable chain of events that abolished slavery, secured civil rights, defeated communism and fascism, and built the most just, egalitarian and prosperous nation in human history,” Trump added to the applause of his audience.

He also mentioned that education in the universities contained Marxist doctrines and critical racial theories.

“Critical racial theory is being forced on our children’s schools, it is being imposed on workplace training, and it is being deployed to destroy friends, neighbors, and families,” Trump said.

Since May 25, when African-American George Floyd died in police custody, violent riots have broken out in many U.S. cities, led by leftist groups such as Black Lives Matters and Antifa.

In addition to destroying and looting thousands of commercial establishments, anarchists sought to defund the police and raze statues and other historical monuments.

The Trump administration imposed penalties on those who destroyed the historical heritage and sent federal agents to restore order by fighting the riots.

Now, with patriotic education, Trump seeks recognition of a national vision “We embrace the vision of Martin Luther King, where children are not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

“… The only path to national unity is through our shared identity as Americans,” Trump said, adding, “That’s why it’s so urgent that we finally restore patriotic education in our schools.
