Police are investigating after a body was found Wednesday evening, Oct. 30, at South Mountain Park in Phoenix, Arizona.

The body was found by park rangers around 6:45 p.m, police said, according to KTVK. The rangers requested police come to assist them with the body.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they located the unidentified person and determined the body had been out there for some time.

The cause of death will be determined by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to police.
