A man in a clown mask shot and killed another man at a Detroit gas station on Thursday night, Oct. 31.

It happened Halloween night around 7:45 p.m. at the Citgo gas station. The victim was standing in line at the register when a suspect walked up behind him and shot him in the back of the head with a handgun, police said.

The victim, who was believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, died at the scene, according to police.

The shooter, along with another man in the station, fled after the shooting.

According to FOX2, someone at the gas station who knew the victim said that the shooting was likely retaliation from the victim robbing someone of $10 the night before.

Police are looking for two men, one was wearing a clown mask with a red nose, a gray and black North Face jacket and gray pants. The other suspect may be in his 30s and was wearing all dark clothing, FOX2 reported.
