While the students of Putnam County, Indiana, were starting to get off the school bus, a dangerous situation developed as a driver ignored the bus’s amber caution lights and quickly passed it.

The video showed a pickup truck speeding past on the right side of a bus that had its stop arm extended, FOX59 reported.

Fortunately, the bus driver saw the vehicle approaching, she quickly held her arm to stop the children from getting out and closed the bus door.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said the bus had its amber caution lights on 13-seconds before stopping.

The stop arm was extended for seven seconds before the pickup truck passed it.

If the student had been in the first two rows of the bus—he would have been hit, the sheriff’s office said.

Officers later found the driver, identified as David Harris.
