America’s 44th president caught a highly contagious disease on March 13.
Barack Obama confirmed he has the COVID-19 (CCP virus) disease.
“I just tested positive for COVID,” he said on Twitter.
An itchy and irritated windpipe were Obama’s only symptoms at the time of publication.
“I have had a scratchy throat for a couple days but am feeling fine otherwise,” he said.
The former president revealed he caught the CCP virus even though he was fully immunized against the disease.
“Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative,” he said.
The Democrat then urged every American to roll up their sleeves and get the jab despite decreasing infection counts.
“It is a reminder to get vaccinated if you have not already, even as cases go down,” he said.

He downsized his 60th birthday party on Aug. 4 at Martha’s Vineyard, 91 miles south of Boston.
Obama initially planned to host as many as 700 guests at their multimillion-dollar residence. A huge guest list included former White House workers and celebrities like George Clooney, Nick Jonas, Paul McCartney, Steven Spielberg, and Stevie Wonder.
However, attendance was quickly slashed to just family and close friends after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) called the celebration a super spreader event in the CCP virus pandemic.
“Due to the new spread of the Delta variant over the past week, the [former] president and Mrs. Obama have decided to significantly scale back the event to include only family and close friends,” former president spokeswoman Hannah Hankins previously said. “He is appreciative of others sending their birthday wishes from afar and looks forward to seeing people soon.”
Earlier, the Global Times published an Aug. 3 commentary, accusing the former president of neglecting “life and human rights.”
“[The party could] become a super spreader event that overshadows the United States’s already wretched fight against the pandemic,” it said.
“[Obama] himself is not setting a better example by following the rules,” it added.
