Oluwakayode Adewole Adebusuyi, a 26-year-old Nigerian and an illegal immigrant, has been charged in Montgomery County, Maryland, for rape in less than two months was freed a year ago from police custody due to the county’s sanctuary policy.
The Montgomery County Police Department arrested him on Aug. 28, 2019 after he allegedly raped an intoxicated woman in his car, according to Breitbart. The case is now the eighth in which an unlawful alien in Montgomery County accused of rape or sexual assault considering that July 25.
Adebusuyi lives in Fairfax, Virginia, and worked as a ride-share driver. He was at a bar in Silver Spring with a mutual friend of the victim when he offered her to sleep in his Toyota sedan because she was not feeling well, according to investigators, the woman accepted the offer, felt asleep in his car, but he began raping her when she woke up.
Adebusuyi drove his car out of the area with the woman still inside. He did not let her go when she asked. Eventually, the woman was able to jump out of the car and began screaming for help.
This is not the first time Adebusuyi has been in trouble with the law for sexual crimes. He was actually arrested in 2018 for similar sex offenses but had all charges dropped by the victim. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed that Adebusuyi is indeed an illegal immigrant, Townhall reported.
“On Sept. 1, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers lodged a detainer with the Montgomery County Detention Center on unlawfully present Nigerian national Oluwakayode Adewole Adebusuyi. Adebusuyi was arrested Aug. 28 on local charges, including rape,” a statement from ICE read.
Adebusuyi is currently being held in detention on $250,000 bond, according to Daily Caller.
