NBA player, LeBron James recently caused outrage after a video of him disrespectfully yelling during the national anthem before the season opener of the Los Angeles Lakers.

As the video shows, James was seen leaving the court as the rest of his team stood at attention, shouting, “Let’s go” as he unzipped his sweat jacket before sitting on the sidelines. The anthem was still being sung.

Some teased the NBA player for his worship of China—one of the world’s most significant human rights abusers—called him a communist.

James came under fire earlier this month when he called supporters of democracy in Hong Kong “uneducated” for their opposition to China’s tightening grip on the semi-autonomous region.

He said Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey “wasn’t educated” when he defended Hong Kong’s freedom protests and had demanded NBA Commissioner Adam Silver punish Morey for supporting the Hong Kong protests. He added that he believed free speech had “negative” ramifications sometimes, according to the Washington Examiner.

Thousands of Hong Kong citizens walked down the streets to burn the player’s jerseys and merchandise after his comments, and to denounce the player’s stance against democracy, according to BREITBART
