Time is of the essence, said the House Intelligence chairman, as the Democrats move swiftly to impeach the president.

Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) told the press on Tuesday, Dec. 10 the House needed to move quickly to impeach President Trump, and not allow the decision for the next election to be left up to American voters.

After the House announced on Dec. 10, they were proceeding with two articles of impeachment against the president: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, Adam Schiff said they had to act quickly to impeach President Trump.

“The argument, ‘Why don’t you just wait?’ comes down to this: Why don’t you just let him cheat in just one more election?” Schiff stated. “Why not let him have foreign help one more time?”:
During the impeachment inquiry, there were no witnesses that had any proof the president had asked for interference from the Ukrainian president in the 2020 elections.

On July 25, the phone conversation between President Trump and President Zelenskiy was shown to be “perfect,” the transcript of the call was made public, there was no pressure exerted by President Trump on President Zelenskiy.

There has been no evidence of “quid pro quo” no indication of bribery or extortion. President Zelenskiy himself has stated he was not pressured by President Trump to investigate the Bidens.

“I think you read everything. I think you read text,” Zelenskiy told reporters in New York on Sept. 25, “I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be involved to democratic, open elections of U.S.A. No, you heard that we had good phone call. It was normal, we spoke about many things. I think, and you read it, that nobody pushed me.”
“So no pressure,” Trump added.

Republican counsel Stephen Castor argued the case against impeachment during the inquiry, “Questions about former Vice President Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter—who was a well-paid board member of the corrupt Ukrainian gas company, Burisma—were legitimate and shared by anti-corruption activists in Ukraine itself,” as Breitbart News reported.

In November, another Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) spoke about impeachment with some urgency. She appeared on CNN’s “The Situation Room” and said, “We also need to move quite quickly because we’re talking about the potential compromise of the 2020 elections.”

“And so this is not just about something that has occurred; this is about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year,” she added.
