In Seattle, a Black Lives Matter activist and ardent Democrat Party member has been charged with committing anti-Asian hate crimes.

According to Post Millennial, King County prosecutors charged Christopher Allen Hamner, 51, with alleged hate crimes for attacking numerous Asian victims on two separate occasions in March.

On March 16, Hamner was accused of harassing a woman while she sat at light with her two children. The victim, Pamela Cole, said on Facebook that Hamner jumped out of his car and screamed “[expletive] you, you Asian [expletive] [expletive] you!” before throwing projectiles at her car. As a result, she contacted the police.

“As a parent, I thought I couldn’t protect my kids, and that was the worst thing,” Cole told a local news outlet.

On March 19, three days later, Hamner allegedly cut off two Asian women outside a supermarket with his vehicle, stopped traffic in the middle of the road, and yelled similar profanities at them.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Hamner then got out of his vehicle, charged at the victims who were driving together, and threw an object at them, Post Millennial reported.

Jenny Wong, one of the victims, captured her experience with Hamner on Instagram with photographs and footage.

As a result, Hamner was arrested by the Seattle Police Department on Thursday. His bail has been set at $75,000. He is being held at the King County Correctional Facility on three charges of criminal assault in addition to the felony hate crime charge.

Given Hamner’s popularity as a staunch BLM and racial-justice activist in the Seattle area, the videos and charges against him have come as a shock to others.

Hamner is known for taking part in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in June 2020, when BLM and Antifa extremists occupied six blocks of city land. He videotaped himself in the zone, carrying an anti-Trump and anti-police flag.
