President Joe Biden declared open warfare against conservative governors Ron DeSantis ( R-Fla.), Greg Abbott (R-Tex.) for disagreeing with policies implemented to address the pandemic caused by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus. Biden threatened to use his presidential powers to override their authority.

During a speech at the White House this week, in which Biden focused his remarks on the executive order he executed to promote the use of vaccines, he criticized Americans who do not want to be vaccinated and strongly condemned those conservative governors who focus their policies on freedom and reject mandates for vaccines, masks and pandemic closures.

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” said Biden. “And it’s caused by the fact that despite America having [an] unprecedented and successful vaccination program, despite the fact that for almost five months, free vaccines have been available in more than 80,000 different locations, we still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot.”

Following these words, Biden focused his criticism by targeting governors he believes are not enforcing adequately strict COVID-19 protocols.

“And to make matters worse, there are elected officials actively working to undermine the fight against COVID-19,” he said. “Instead of encouraging people to get vaccinated and mask up, they’re ordering mobile morgues for the unvaccinated dying from COVID in their communities.”

“If they’ll not help, if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way,” the president added threateningly.

Gov. De Santis, who ordered that facemasks remain optional in Florida schools, filed an emergency appeal after a court judge ruled that schools can impose facemask mandates, the Miami Herald reported. Florida finally won approval Friday to reinstate the suspension.

Subsequently, DeSantis stood his ground and announced that his state would fight President Joe Biden’s plan, where the Department of Labor will require all employers with more than 100 employees to mandate staff vaccinations.

Meanwhile, in Texas, Abbott issued an executive order prohibiting schools from imposing mask mandates, allowing parents to choose whether or not they want their children to wear them.

Regarding the measure imposed by Biden on Thursday, Abbott responded by tweeting:

“Biden’s vaccine mandate is an assault on private businesses. I issued an Executive Order protecting Texans’ right to choose whether they get the COVID vaccine & added it to the special session agenda. Texas is already working to halt this power grab.”

In parallel, other Republican governors rejected Biden’s speech and threatened to implement legal action should the federal government intrude on state sovereignty.

“My legal team is ready to file our lawsuit the moment @joebiden files his unconstitutional rule,” tweeted South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem. “This case, example of federal intrusion will not stand.”
