An award-winning basketballer urged Joe Biden to pressure China to stop abusing human rights on Nov. 15.

Enes Kanter wants the president to “stop playing games” with Beijing. The Boston Celtics center wants the Democrat to slam Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s mistreatment of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibetan buddhists, and Uighur native people.

“President Joe Biden and [Chinese] dictator Xi Jinping are scheduled to speak,” he said on Twitter. “POTUS, stop playing games with bullies and do what you promised to the world–prioritize human rights.”

The remarks came one day ahead of a virtual summit.

“Will Joe Biden ask about Uighur genocide, or assault on Tibetans and Hong Kong?” Kanter said. “Or will they pat each other on the back?”

Kanter accused the communist regime of forcibly harvesting organs from live Tibetans, Uighurs, Christians, and Falun Gong practitioners.

“The Chinese government engages in forced organ harvesting,” he said on Twitter. “Ethnic and religious groups, Tibetans, Uighurs [are] in death camps, Christians, Falun Gong are all targeted.”

“Stop murdering for organs, it is a crime against humanity … [and] end forced organ harvesting in China, now!” he added.

The Biden-Xi summit shifted no significant policy about climate change theory, trade, the pandemic, or arms control. It only established a dialogue to help ease diplomatic tensions, with Xi describing Biden his old friend according to CNN.

Kanter previously urged Xi’s Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to free Tibet.

“Tibet belongs to Tibetans [and] I am here to add my voice and speak out against what is happening in Tibet under the Chinese government’s brutal rule,” he said according to the Daily Wire. “Tibetan people’s basic rights and freedoms are non-existent.”

Tencent Sports, an app primarily used in China to stream NBA games, responded to the remarks by cutting live feeds from the October match between the Celtics and New York Knicks. All future Celtics games were marked as unavailable for live-streaming.

Kanter refused to be censored, and continued to call on the CCP to “stop the genocide” against Uighur people. This includes torture, rape, forced abortion, sterilization, family separations, arbitrary detention, concentration camps, political reeducation, and forced labor.

“This is all happening right now to more than 1.8 million Uighurs in the Xinjiang region in northwestern China,” he previously said.

He also expressed solidarity with Taiwan.

“Taiwan is a democratic and free country,” he said on Twitter.
