Arizona Rangers, the group guarding the forensic audit center, has just raised more than $160,000 to continue protecting the Maricopa County audit after PayPal blocked income for its volunteers.
Arizona is auditing more than two million ballots from the disputed 2020 election results, which have been linked to various claims of fraud.
With a rich history dating back to 1901, the Arizona Rangers is a nonprofit, uniformed, law enforcement auxiliary that “provide law enforcement assistance to any federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies within the State of Arizona, security services for community and civic organizations, as well as support for youth and youth organizations within Arizona,” according to its GoFundMe page.
The Arizona Rangers are currently securing the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which hosts a forensic audit by the Arizona Senate, the Gateway Pundit reported.
PayPal was initially their primary source of revenue since it was via that site they collected all of their donations. However, they abruptly stopped receiving donations shortly before the vote count started over the weekend, even without receiving any notice from the company.
As such, The Rangers started calling for donations via GoFundMe to help cover the costs of providing support during the hand recount. As of early Friday, April 30, the organization had raised more than $160,000.
Republicans declared in mid-March that they would conduct a “comprehensive and thorough” review of Maricopa ballots, which would include “testing the machines, scanning the ballots, conducting a full manual recount, and looking for any computer breaches,” among other things.
In the face of many contradictions and accusations of fraud during the election, the involvement of patriots like the Rangers, who are willing to protect democracy without receiving compensation for their efforts, is critical.
President Trump himself insisted that the security of the recount site remains the top priority:
“The Republican Party is demanding that Governor Ducey of Arizona immediately provide large-scale security for the brave American Patriots doing the Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election,” Trump said in a statement on April 24. “Governor Ducey will be fully responsible for the safety of those involved. State police or National Guard must immediately be sent out for protection.”
