President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said that votes from 28 states were sent to Germany and Spain to be counted by Smartmatic, a company from Venezuela.

Giuliani made the stunning claim during an interview with Fox News Business’s Lou Dobbs on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

“Our votes in 27, 28 states that are counted by Dominion sent outside of the United States,” Giuliani began. “They’re not sent to Canada, they’re sent to Germany and Spain, and the company counting it is not Dominion, it’s Smartmatic, which is a company that was founded in 2005 in Venezuela for the specific purpose of fixing elections, that’s their expertise.”

In an interview on Nov. 15, Giuliani provided more details of Dominion Voting Systems that used a software from Smartmatic, a company that supplied voting software for 14 Venezuelan national elections as well as other countries like Argentina and the Philippines.

Smartmatic and its products have raised serious concerns in the past few years relating to voting security. The Texas Secretary of State and Attorney General’s office refused to use the machines in 2013 and 2019 due to a lack of basic security standards.

Giuliani went on to say that some high-ranking people at “far-left radical” Dominion company support antifa and the chairman of Smartmatic has ties to George Soros. Many media reports have supported Giuliani’s claims. (It’s here, here, and here.)

Sidney Powell, a Trump campaign lawyer, has released an affidavit from an alleged whistleblower who claimed to have witnessed how Smartmatic software manipulates votes in favor of former Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez.

“I was witness to the creation and operation of a sophisticated electronic voting system that permitted the leaders of the Venezuelan government to manipulate the tabulation of votes for national and local elections and select the winner of those elections in order to gain and maintain their power,” the affidavit states.

“From that point on, Chávez never lost any election. In fact, he was able to ensure wins for himself, his party, Congress persons and mayors from townships,” it added.

While a Dominion Voting Systems spokesperson denied allegations about vote switching, both Giuliani and Powell said they have enough evidence to “overturn election results in multiple states.”

President Trump has said this election was “the greatest theft in the history of America,” adding, “I concede nothing. We will win.”
