President Donald Trump will complete the Supreme Court by appointing the necessary judge. Still, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not rule out the idea of impeaching him if he does, so minority leader Kevin McCarthy issued a statement on the matter.

McCarthy said, President Trump is acting following his constitutional responsibilities, so if Pelosi tries to obstruct his administration, she will be removed from office. ” … if she tries to move for an impeachment based upon the president following the Constitution, I think there will be a move on the floor to no longer have the question of her being Speaker,” McCarthy promised, according to Fox News on Sept. 23.

“The president is supposed to move forward and they will. The Senate is supposed to take the action and they will—it’s their constitutional right and they are following through,” McCarthy said.

Pelosi, (D-Calif.), did not rule out the idea of impeaching President Trump or Attorney General William Barr if the Republican-majority Senate approves Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court.

Republican lawmakers in the House of Representatives have considered the option of removing Pelosi from office on previous occasions.

“Most Republican Members of Congress wholeheartedly agree that Nancy Pelosi must be removed as Speaker of the House,” said Rep. Andy Biggs, (R-Ariz.).

Biggs explained that he has discussed the issue for weeks with his peers in the House of Representatives and discussed why Pelosi should be removed from office.

“Speaker Pelosi has abused her position, demonized millions of Americans, and exacted political revenge on President Trump by impeaching him.

Millions of Americans, including many of our constituents, agree that Nancy Pelosi must go now,” Biggs said.

President Trump will announce the name of the judge chosen to fill the Supreme Court’s vacancy due to the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. ET.

The president said a woman would fill the position and that she will be selected from a list of five potential judges.
