The UK is hiring armies of new safety inspectors dedicated solely to monitoring compliance with rules and regulations to combat the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus contagions. The work could take another two years, even though the closure restrictions are supposedly set to end in eight weeks, and 40 million Britons already live in areas entirely free of the virus.

The news was very confusing for British citizens who felt they were close to returning to a more normal life with the usual freedoms, reported the British media The Telegraph.

People wondered why the state should embark on spending millions of dollars hiring “COVID agents” for one year and with the possibility of extending their contracts until 2023 if in a few weeks the restrictions against the CCP Virus were supposed to be lifted?

As The Telegraph wrote: “A new army of Covid Marshals is being recruited for roles that could last until 2023 despite Government plans to lift all remaining restrictions on June 21. … Councils are advertising jobs that do not begin until July—several days after the supposed freedom day.”

Hertfordshire County Borough Council is among those advertising the call for Covid agents. The local authority is offering a contract worth an estimated £3 million (US$4.2 million) to a vendor to supply 60 constables from July 1 through Jan. 31 next year, Summit News reported.

“The contract comes with a possible one-year extension, meaning marshals would still be patrolling until 2023,” states the report.

Critics are accusing the government of wasting taxpayer money by allowing municipalities to use federal government grants to fund a program that will not, in theory, be necessary, considering that as of June, anti-CCP Virus guidelines will no longer be required.

“To start hiring people based on the situation we faced last year, before we had rolled out the vaccines, does seem to be a waste of public money,” said Mark Harper MP, Tory chairman of the Covid Recovery Group.

Against this backdrop, it would seem that two possible scenarios open up. Either they are really hiring people for a purpose that will not be necessary, or the vaccination campaign turns out to be a big scam, and in the coming months, there will again be millions infected and killed by the CCP Virus. In either case, there is no doubt that the government is wasting taxpayers’ money.

In Britain, fatigue with the restrictions imposed by the government is already making itself felt. Last week a massive march said “enough” to the lock-ins and mask-wearing obligations.

Announcements that the restrictions would end in June brought some peace of mind. Still, these new hires of COVID inspectors suggest that the authorities will find any argument to extend the lockdown policies when the time comes.
