Attorney Lin Wood, a well-known defender of the alleged fraud case involving the 2020 U.S. elections, on Sunday night, Dec. 20, responded to Smartmatic, the manufacturer of voting machines, assuring that his colleague, attorney Sidney Powell, will not retract her election fraud allegations.
“Knowing my background & experience in defamation law, Sidney @SidneyPowell1 asked me to represent her & respond to SmartMatic litigation threat,” Wood wrote on his Twitter account.
“Since everything Sidney is saying about election fraud is documented TRUTH, my response to SmartMatic was simple & to the point,” he added.
Wood accompanied the posting with a letter from Smartmatic to Powell accusing her of participating “in a concerted disinformation campaign against Smartmatic.”
“I have carefully reviewed your letter on December 15, 2020. I am not impressed. Ms. Powell retracts nothing,” Wood wrote.
In addition to assuring that its software and systems were only implemented in Los Angeles County during the Nov. 3 election, the firm added that it has no ties to Dominion Voting Systems.
Meanwhile, Powell also received a letter from the law firm of Clare Locke, legal representatives of Dominion Voting System, in which they warned that she and Trump’s campaign team are exposing themselves to a “substantial legal risk of defamation” if they don’t drop the charges linking the company to election fraud.
According to The Hill, Powell said that Dominion used an algorithm to switch some votes from President Trump to Joe Biden.
She also claimed that Dominion paid bribes to Republican Party officials in Georgia and elsewhere to keep quiet about the plan, among many other allegations.
Last week, election technology and security expert Russell Ramsland, co-founder of the team of forensic experts that audited 16 Dominion voting machines in Antrim County, Michigan, for irregularities, announced the arrival of important information that could change the results of the 2020 election.
“I think that there is going to be some information coming forth in the next few days that is going to drastically change the playing field,” Ramsland said during an interview with Newsmax TV host Greg Kelly.
The results of the forensic audit conducted by Allied Security Operation’s team of experts concluded, “Dominion’s voting systems are intentionally and deliberately designed with inherent flaws to create systemic fraud and influence election results.”
