A delegation of 15 Democratic representatives and senators led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) flew to Spain this week to participate in the UN COP25 climate change conference in Madrid.
Journalist Brittany Hughes of the Media Research Center (MRC) ironically highlighted in a video the hypocrisy of Democrats who live and travel opulently and without any kind of environmental restrictions while planning to raise taxes or impose limits on the rest of the population.
“The conference will look at ways to impose fines on airlines to discourage people from flying and make ‘unnecessary contributions to carbon dioxide air pollution,'” explains Hughes.
“Taking action to protect our planet is a public health decision for clean air and clean water for our children, an economic decision for creating the green, good-paying jobs of the future, a national security decision to address resource competition and climate migration and also a moral decision to be good stewards of God’s creation and pass a sustainable, healthy planet to the next generation,” Pelosi said in a statement.
The conference brings together 25,000 delegates and more than 1,500 journalists who flew to the Spanish capital to attend the U.N.-sponsored event.
“A handful of politicians use our money to fly in planes to attend a conference designed to penalize us for flying in planes,” Hughes said.
She also talks about “the hypocrisy” and begins to list the luxurious properties that many Democratic leaders and staunch advocates of the theory of climate change have in areas that are supposed to be underwater in just a few decades.
Among them is John Kerry or Leonardo di Caprio, a Hollywood star very active in defending the alarmist theories of global warming.
“Mr. Apocalipse Now (…) probably isn’t so worried about the rise in ocean level when he hasn’t given up on his project to build a $1.75 million luxury resort on a private island in Belize,” Hughes said in a sarcastic tone.
Former President Barack Obama also recently acquired a $15 million mansion on the coast of elitist island Marta’s Vineyard.
The exclusive property is on the front line of a private beach and even has a boathouse, so according to the forecasts of climate change and global warming that the Obamas and the leaders of the Democratic Party defend, this property would be completely flooded in just a few decades.
The journalist said that she is not socialist and therefore does not care where people decide to buy a house or where they decide to travel.
“But if you [Democrats] take your private plane to go to your private mansion on your private island you cannot lecture a mother who wants to take her children to the chiropractor in her second-hand car (…) nor can you forbid me from flying to visit my grandmother for Christmas,” she concluded.
President Donald Trump officially withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement in October as part of an electoral promise to his voters, saying he was “elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” according to Breitbart.
The president said then that compliance with this agreement would have meant the loss of up to 2.7 million jobs by 2025, according to data from National Economic Research Associates.
“In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord,” President Trump said.
Just when you thought liberals couldn't get any more repulsive in their push to 'stop climate change', this happens. Brittany M. Hughes is back with the details.
