In this impeachment  plot that the Democrats initiated against President Donald Trump, there are several questions that have arisen about the ties of former Vice President Biden’s family with Ukraine.

For example, why Burisma Holdings, a gas company in Ukraine, would pay Hunter Biden tens of thousands of dollars a month when he has no experience in the field and can’t even speak the language.

Although this was not his intention, former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski answered this question.

Kwasniewski, who sits on the board of Burisma Holdings, said on Thursday that Hunter Biden was elected to join the advisory board because of his last name. He said that’s just how the business world works.

The  Kwasniewski said during an interview with The Associated Press, “I understand that if someone asks me to be part of some project it’s not only because I’m so good, it’s also because I am Kwasniewski and I am a former president of Poland.” “And this is all inter-connected. No-names are a nobody. Being Biden is not bad. It’s a good name.”

In 2014, Kwasniewski, Hunter Biden, and others were invited to the board as part of Burisma’s strategy to clean up its reputation.

Its strategy worked, and the company has continued to operate, although investigations of embezzlement and corruption continue.

Kwasniewski acknowledged that the company has a difficult past “because the past of all companies, all fortunes in Ukraine—diplomatically speaking—are very complicated.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who has a friendly relationship with the Biden family, said on his Twitter account, “I love Joe Biden as a person but we are not going to give a pass to what is obviously a conflict of interest. I believe Hunter Biden’s association on the Burisma board doesn’t pass the smell test. If a Republican was in the same position, they’d certainly be investigated!”

The tweet seemed to respond to comments from former Vice President Biden during a recent CNN interview. During that interview, Biden said he was “disappointed, and quite frankly I’m angered” because Graham knows him and his son and “knows there’s nothing to this.”

He also said Graham was acting out of fear of opposing Trump and risking re-election.

“Trump is now essentially holding power over him that even the Ukrainians wouldn’t yield to,” Biden said.

Last Thursday, Graham sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo requesting documents related to contacts between the Bidens and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, according to Fox News.

The Graham requested documents and transcripts of 2016 talks between Biden and Poroshenko in connection with an investigation into the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, where Hunter Biden.

Since the Ukraine Case began, both President Trump and representatives of the Republican Party have criticized that the real focus of the investigation would have to be on how Biden pressured the government of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to remove Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Shokin was investigating a huge corruption case of the gas company Burisma Holdings. Biden’s son, Hunter, was a member of the company’s board at the time.

In July of this year President Trump and Ukrainian President  Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation. Democrats claim that the president made military aid conditional on the Ukrainian government investigating Biden, who is President Trump’s political rival in the 2020 elections.

However, the White House denied the accusations made against the president and published the transcripts of the talks between the two presidents.
