A Democrat from Maryland that is struggling with death in the family will decide whether to remove the president from office a second time.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confirmed she has appointed Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) as lead impeachment manager for the Democrat-led investigation into whether to impeach President Donald Trump again for so called incitement of insurrection.

Pelosi believes Raskin, whose 25-year-old son allegedly took his own life on New Year’s Eve, is in a perfect state-of-mind to judge whether the president should be dismissed.

“I have the solemn privilege of naming the managers of the impeachment trial of Donald Trump,” she said in a statement. “It is their constitutional and patriotic duty to present the case for the president’s impeachment and removal.”

Raskin currently chairs the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and serves as vice chair of the Subcommittee on the Constitution.

“He also serves on the Rules Committee and the Committee on House Administration, where he is vice chair,” Pelosi said. “Prior to his time in Congress, Raskin was a three-term state senator in Maryland and a professor of constitutional law at American University’s Washington College of Law for more than 25 years.”

The new investigation was announced after hundreds of extremists allegedly stormed the Capitol, smashed windows, vandalized public property, seized offices, and even forced the complete evacuation of both the House and Senate on Jan. 6.

House Democrats blame President Trump for the siege despite evidence Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) found that suggests building rioters were posing as Trump supporters and actually linked to antifa plus other radical leftist groups.

“Please, do not be like fake news media, do not rush to judgment on assault on Capitol,” Brooks said on Twitter. “Wait for [the official] investigation, all may not be (and likely is not) what appears. Evidence [is] growing that fascist Antifa orchestrated Capitol attack with clever mob control tactics.”

“Congressman told me he was warned on Tuesday by [a] Capitol Police officer that intelligence suggested fascist Antifa was going to try to infiltrate the Trump rally by dressing like Trump supporters,” he added on Twitter.

Pelosi also appointed Democratic Reps. Joaquin Castro (Texas), David Cicilline (R.I.), Madeleine Dean (Pa.), Diana DeGette (Colo.), Ted Lieu (Calif.), Joe Neguse (Colo.), Stacey Plaskett (Virgin Islands), and Eric Swalwell (Calif.) as impeachment managers.

Pelosi previously admitted she wants to ruin the president’s chances of being re-elected and eliminate any hope of the incumbent returning to the Oval Office for another four years.

She revealed the House Democrat-led effort to impeach the president twice is part of a broader party strategy to stop the Republicans from holding onto the White House.

“That is one of the motivations that people have for advocating for impeachment,” she told “60 Minutes.”

She also admitted the outcome of the second impeachment inquiry was already decided despite promising to “protect” democracy and remain “loyal” to her oath to the Constitution.

“I like the 25th Amendment because it gets rid of him, he is out of office, but there is strong support in the Congress for impeaching the president a second time,” she said. “This president is guilty of inciting insurrection. He has to pay a price for that.”
