A Democrat will selectively perform his duty of protecting individuals and turn away those fighting for freedom in Communist Cuba.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas confirmed he is denying entry to any Cuban national who flees to the United States by sea.

Mayorkas, formerly of Cuba himself, ordered his compatriots not to sail across the Caribbean Sea to the Land of the Free. He suggested starvation, a lack of medicine and political unrest are no excuse for seeking asylum.

“The time is never right to attempt migration by sea,” he said in a statement. “To those who risk their lives doing so, this risk is not worth taking. Allow me to be clear: if you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States.”

The remarks came despite widespread U.S. support for the Cuban protest movement. Former President Donald Trump and many lawmakers have openly supported the freedom fight.

Thousands of residents are fully rebelling against the communist regime that oppressed them for 62 years on the island.

Mayorkas’s lack of empathy appears to contradict with his own claim that he shares a common interest with the protesters.

“We also stand in solidarity with the Cuban people and their call for freedom from the repression and economic suffering that Cuba’s authoritarian regime is causing,” he said in the statement. “Department of Homeland Security is working with our partners to support the Haitian and Cuban people.”

However, the Democrat stands by his immigration policy. Disclose.tv released footage of his recent speech in which he stresses that Cubans, who try to enter by sea, will be refused entry.

“Biden administration threatens that any refugee from Cuba fleeing the communist regime, and trying to reach the United States, will be turned away,” the broadcaster said on Twitter.

Mayorkas also revealed the U.S. Coast Guard as well as its state, local, and federal partners will continue monitoring any “unsafe and irregular maritime migration in the Florida straits.” This includes “unpermitted vessel departures” between Florida and Cuba.

He claimed all Cubans, who “establish a well-founded fear of persecution or torture,” will be sent to other countries–not the United States.

BL understands nearly all Cubans who live on the island can only escape the communist regime by sea.

The Biden administration and Democratic Party also appeared to contradict its globalist policy of open borders. The United States has already diverted billions of dollars from health care services to care for illegal immigrants. However, Cubans have been excluded in their hour of need.

Some critics argue the policy clearly discriminates against Cubans out of political interest. A Pew Research Center survey found “most Cuban Americans identify as Republican.”

This finding prompted one internet user to point out the Biden administration is also not interested in Cuban immigrants due to their voting preferences.

One user cited Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) who recently explained exactly why Cubans struggle against the regime.

“People of Cuba are not protesting about COVID (Chinese Communist Party Virus) vaccines or shortages–they are demanding an end to the communist dictatorship that has imprisoned the island for more than six decades,” realArmandKlein said on Twitter. “Absolutely right and correct governor, you nailed it. Great job governor.”

Meanwhile, the Biden administration suspended some sanctions against the Venezuelan dictatorship that then President Trump introduced back in 2019. BL understands this could be interpreted as indirectly assisting the Cuban regime.

The Biden administration has not widely publicized this suspension. It only posted news of the decision to the Department of the Treasury website on July 12 without making an official announcement.

“All transactions and activities related to the export or re-export, directly or indirectly, of liquefied petroleum gas to Venezuela, involving the government of Venezuela, PDVSA, or any entity in which PDVSA owns–directly or indirectly, a 50 percent or greater interest, which are prohibited–are hereby authorized until 12:01 a.m., July 8, 2022,” the statement said.
