One of the previous president’s closest allies wants to immediately remove a Californian Democrat from Capitol Hill allegedly for inciting racial violence.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has proposed a new congressional order that would permanently expel Rep. Maxine Waters from Washington’s Capitol building.
“Very soon, I will be introducing a resolution to expel Rep. Maxine Waters from Congress for her continual incitement of violence on innocent American people,” Taylor Greene said on Twitter.
Taylor Greene criticized the Democrat for creating more violence after telling Black Lives Matter activists they “cannot go away” if a court acquits former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin of murdering George Floyd back in 2020.
“After traveling across state lines to incite riots, her orders recorded on video last night at the Brooklyn Center directly led to more violence and a drive-by shooting on National Guardsmen in Minnesota,” she said. “Rep. Waters is a danger to our society.”
The Republican is also concerned that Waters’s actions might have violated U.S. Code 2101 for riots, which states politicians must not travel interstate to “incite a riot” or “commit any act of violence in furtherance of a riot.” The maximum penalty for breaching the code is up to five years in prison.
“As a sitting U.S. congresswoman, Maxine Waters threatened a jury demanding a guilty verdict and threatened violence if Chauvin is found not guilty–this is also an abuse of power,” she said.
Taylor Greene urged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to help stop the so-called incitement of insurrection within the Democratic Party’s ranks.
“Pelosi, you impeached President Trump after you said he incited violence by saying ‘march peacefully’ to the Capitol, so I can expect a yes vote from you on my resolution to expel Rep. Maxine Waters for inciting violence, riots, and abusing power threatening a jury, right?” she said on Twitter.
The Republican believes Waters has no solid legal defense and will likely face some form of punishment for her questionable actions.
“Waters, you do not live in Minnesota; you crossed state lines and incited riots, violence against police, shootings at the Minnesota National Guard, and threatened a jury as a sitting U.S. congresswoman,” she said on Twitter. “Speaker Pelosi, surely you will expel this criminal from Congress and uphold the law!”
Waters recently experienced a temperamental outburst during a House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus (CCP Virus) meeting.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) had asked a final question for Anthony Fauci to confirm exactly when the nation would fully reopen. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director avoided giving a specific timeframe or measure, causing Waters to lose control towards Jordan completely.
“Your time expired, Sir; you need to respect the chair and shut your mouth,” she said in a video shared by Fox News.
The Democrat complained about Jordan continuing to press Fauci for an answer even though it was already her time to question the doctor.
“You are claiming my time; you are claiming my time,” she said.
She then ordered Jordan to be quiet and obey, as if she was the subcommittee chair.
“Order, regular order,” she said.
