Controversial Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) published a video showing her reading Islamic prayer at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington, on Thanksgiving Day, which was also attended by several other congressmen.
“Alhamdullilah for the opportunity to serve my constituents, to care for my children and have a wonderful love in my life.”
This is a prayer read at the start of Congress and feel grounded in its blessings.
Thank you all for standing with me and for our progressive movement!” wrote the liberal congresswoman on Twitter.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also attended the service, according to The Daily Wire.
Sarah Idan, also a former Muslim Miss Iraq, denied that Omar, of Somali origin, represented her.
“Omar does not represent me as a Muslim does not represent millions of Muslims in the Middle East,” Idan said on Sara Carter’s show.
Idan also clarified that Omar and other American leaders similar to her are called the Muslim Brotherhood.
“They are extremist Muslims, Sunni Muslims, who are now working together with Iran against all Arab countries,” the former Miss Iraq said, adding that they work with Hezbollah, who are jihadi and want to control the world.
Among other strange events that Omar has been involved in is the accusation of being a paid agent for the government of Qatar and leaking sensitive information for Iran’s benefit, according to Canadian businessman Alan Bender, born in Kuwait.
Similarly, the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board found that Omar broke campaign finance rules by misusing the money for out-of-state travel.
In turn, the conservative investigative group Judicial Watch has also asked the House Ethics Committee to investigate Omar for alleged crimes, including immigration fraud by apparently marrying her own brother for permanent residency.
Omar irregularly paid an additional $150,000 to a romantic interest, completing $370,000 channeled from her campaign funds to the same person.
Tim Mynett, who through his consulting firm Grupo E Street received the money, as well as being romantically involved with Mynett, reported The New York Post on Nov. 17.
She is also recognized as an anti-Semite, for which she was banned from entering Israel.
She is also part of the so-called the squad made up of socialist Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayana Pressley.
