A controversial Democrat from Minnesota, who is open about holding extremist political views, is being asked to step down from Congress after new evidence surfaced of her alleged criminal history.
Potentially incriminating information shows that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) committed a string of serious offenses before her election to the House of Representatives in 2019.
PJ Media New York City Editor David Steinberg claims that Omar appears to have participated in immigration, marriage, student loan, tax, and child care fraud.
“Essentially almost everything she put her name on for eight years was perjury or fraud and it all adds up to likely the most expensive spree of state and federal felonies by an elected congressperson in U.S. history,” he said in a video shared on YouTube. “I really have no [other] way to put it. That is how big this is.”
Steinberg revealed condolence messages from about 36 Somali friends, and family verified Omar is the daughter of high-ranking Somali Col. Nur Said Elmi. He served the country’s U.S.–backed military between the 1970s and early 1990s.
Col. Nur Said Elmi recently died after contracting the CCP Virus (COVID-19).
A June 15 Facebook post by Elmi Jamac Dhagaweyne expressed grief for all of the deceased children, “especially Mohamed Nur Dhay-Lule, Layla Sahra, and Ilhan Omar.”
Another June 16 Facebook post by Dagan Cabdi Nur shows a family photo of the colonel and Omar at an airport. It expresses a somber wish to pass on the deceased’s “knowledge especially [to] his children.”
“This was actually the easiest research I have done on this in three years, it involves typing Nur Said Elmi into the Facebook search bar,” he said. “We found 36 examples of friends and family of Ilhan Omar or her relatives or her campaign workers calling him [by that name] … these are friends’ wishes and sending [of] condolences [after] he did tragically pass away from COVID-19 [the CCP Virus].”
The Democrat repeatedly attempted to change the name on her birth certificate, possibly to hide how she married British citizen Ahmed Nur Said Elmi–who is understood to be her biological brother–to help speed up the U.S. immigration process.
“The man she married was Ahmed Nur Said Elmi and there is nobody else with that string of names who could have been his father,” Steinberg said. “Nobody exists in either public United States or United Kingdom archives [of] address records, rental applications. Nobody exists showing there was a second man called Nur Said Elmi to be her husband’s father [and Omar’s father] to show it was the same man.”
He also revealed Omar raised three children and unlawfully filed several joint tax returns with another man between 2009 and 2017.
“We have evidence that she filed at least two years of fraudulent tax returns, possibly eight [years,]” he said. “We have evidence she perjured herself eight times during her 2017 divorce from this man; we know she was living in public housing; we know she was likely receiving subsidized child care.”
According to The Blaze, if Omar is found guilty of perjury, she could face up to 40 years in jail based on eight out of nine incorrect answers provided in her divorce statement.
