Former Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard recently called attention to a video shared on social media where she claims that Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff and former CIA Director John Brennan should be considered domestic enemies, stating that they pose a greater danger to the United States than those who staged the riots on Capitol Hill in Washington.
“The mob who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country,” Gabbard said.
However she added, “But let’s be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies—and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol,” Newsmax reported.
The video shared by Gabbard, included a recording of Brennan from an interview with MSNBC in which he claims the Biden administration is now “moving like a laser” to uncover activities he called “insurgency movements,” comparing Libertarians to religious extremists, fascists, or authoritarians.
Gabbard has also repeatedly criticized Schiff’s proposed domestic terrorism bill through which he plans to expand the definition of domestic terrorism in the spirit of fighting the pro-Trump insurgency, according to Real Clear Politics.
“Chairman Biden, I ask you and the entire Congress of both parties to denounce the efforts of Brennan and others to take away the civil liberties granted to us by our Creator and guaranteed in our Constitution,” Gabbard said.
Regarding Big Tech, Gabbard rejected the effort to undermine the rights and freedoms of Americans after companies such as Twitter or Facebook, blocked accounts that supported former President Donald Trump, who was also suspended from the platforms after denouncing fraud in the past elections.
“Big Tech is culpable in this that they are using their monopolistic power to pick and choose whose voices are heard and whose voices are squelched, whether it’s based on who they agree with, disagree with, political affiliation, who you voted for,” Gabbard said.
According to Fox News, Gabbard also called on viewers to take a stand and unite around constitutional principles to “continue to speak freely.”
Citizens committed to defending their constitutional liberties “need to urge President Biden and every member of Congress how critical it is they take a stand and denounce the likes of John Brennan and Adam Schiff’s actions,” she continued.
“If you don’t stand up to them now, then our country will be in great peril,” added Gabbard, who served in Congress from 2013 to 2021.
