Half of Americans feel angry and annoyed about the Biden administration, a new survey found.

The latest CBS News poll revealed 50% of voters felt “frustrated” with Joe Biden’s presidency.

The sample study of 2,094 respondents found 49% were “disappointed” and 40% were “nervous.” Only 25% were calm and satisfied, while 22% felt secure, and only 11% were “excited.”

Those polled also had a rather negative view of the state of the nation. Only 4% felt the economy was performing well, and 22% said somewhat well. Conversely, 36% believed the government performed somewhat badly, while 37% described it as very bad.

The lackluster feedback came ahead of Biden completing his first year in the Oval Office.

“A majority of people said that they disapproved of the way Biden was handling the economy, immigration, race relations, crime, inflation, policing, and Afghanistan,” The Hill journalist Joseph Choi reported.

“People also appeared to lose some confidence in Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the few areas of Biden’s presidency in which people have so far continued to approve of,” he added.

The survey found that only 17% of respondents believed Biden handled the pandemic well, and 32% said somewhat well. Conversely, an overwhelming 51% think the Democrats handled it either very, or somewhat, poorly.

Those polled were similarly skeptical of Biden’s ability to care for the needs and problems of everyday Americans. At least 54% believed he did not care much or at all, while 45% thought he somewhat, or very much, cared.

The CBS News poll reported an error margin of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
