In the afternoon of January 25th, officials at a press conference on epidemic prevention and control in Beijing announced that from 4PM on January 24th to 4PM on January 25th, there were 15 more new local new coronavirus infections, including 3 cases of asymptomatic infection.
These new cases are related to the Delta variant, and are located in Shefengtai District, Xicheng District, Daxing District, and Chaoyang District.
On January 24th, Beijing officially announced that from 4PM on January 23rd to 4PM on January 24th, there were 9 new local new coronavirus infections in Beijing, including 7 confirmed cases and 2 asymptomatic infections.
On the 25th, Li Ang, a spokesman for the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, said that as of January 25th there was a high-risk area in Beijing Wanliyuan Community, Fengtai District.

With just over a week left until the Chinese New Year, yet the pandemic in Beijing continues to spread.
One Chinese social media user commented: “Every day my heart is tugging, I hope my child in Tongzhou can come home for the Chinese New Year.”
According to official reports, since January 15th, Beijing has recorded 67 cases of COVID-19. Among them, there are a total of 6 confirmed cases of Omicron variant.
