Former Department of State official David Asher said that the Chinese communist regime is working with drug cartels in Mexico to smuggle fentanyl into the U.S.

According to Vision Times, fentanyl is a synthetic opiate that is 50 times more toxic than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. Ingestion of tiny amounts of fentanyl, about two milligrams, can be fatal. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) estimates that 2.2 pounds of fentanyl can kill 500,000 people.

China has long been a famous producer of substances containing fentanyl. However, according to Vision Times, fentanyl-related deaths in Canada have recently soared, and fentanyl in Canada is of Chinese origin.

However, the fentanyl crisis in Canada is still behind the U.S., which is considered the biggest victim of Chinese-made fentanyl.

David Asher told Leland Vittert, host of NewsNation published on August 22nd, that the United States is facing the United Front of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which is shipping fentanyl to Mexico.

Most fentanyl smuggled into the U.S. comes from Mexico.

Asher said that, to some extent, China’s regime is making fentanyl to kill children in America. And the power ruling China washes money from fentanyl by buying real estate in the U.S.

The EIPAIS newspaper on August 23rd reported that fentanyl seizures had reached record levels in the U.S. In July, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized 2,100 pounds of fentanyl, three times the amount of fentanyl it seized in June.
Vision Times reported that the use of fentanyl in the U.S. has skyrocketed in recent decades. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in one year to April 2021, the fentanyl crisis has killed more than 100,000 people.
