Russia invaded Ukraine last week. After the Russian-Ukrainian delegation concluded the first round of negotiations, the Russian army strengthened its offensive on all fronts and launched artillery and bombardment on Kyiv capital and Kharkiv city. Ukraine’s military, as well as its people, have sustained significant losses.

On Twitter, Chinese netizens said that after Russia invaded Ukraine, some Ukrainians living in mainland China voiced support for their country. After the Ukrainians condemned Russian aggression, the police warned them. In desperation, these Ukrainian people sought help from the Ukrainian embassy in China, so they got this official document from the Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai to the Foreign Affairs Office of five provinces and one city.

According to the exposed document, the Ukrainian Consulate General in Shanghai issued the document to the foreign affairs offices of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Fujian provincial governments.

It states that the Ukrainian embassy has received many citizen reports that the police interviewed Ukrainian citizens or that the police warned them about their comments on Russian and its leadership.

The Ukrainian embassy voiced concern over the attacks and demanded that they stop immediately.
