For some time now, Chinese citizens have been showing strong resistance to the zero-COVID campaign of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because of the terrible social consequences caused by the closure of cities, and stores, extensive confinements, and endless rounds of nucleic acid testing.
For this reason, on September 18, thousands of citizens in Jiangjin District, Chongqing, took to the streets to protest.
The police repressed the demonstrators, but they did not leave the place and surrounded the officers, causing the police force to withdraw immediately. They shouted at the top of their lungs: Back, back!

Many citizens uploaded videos to their social networks showing how the police retreated and moved away in the face of the advancing demonstrators. According to reports, the officers shouted, “retreat!

People in Junyuan, Shangcheng, Huangpichao, and Wuhan rose against the closures and endless rounds of nucleic acid. Although the police violently repressed them, they did not buckle.
Shocking images uploaded to Twitter show scenes of intense police violence against the people.

Another incident, posted on the internet, occurred when a man in a car tried to leave the city of Dabai, which is under lockdown and closed. At that time, the police did not let him go, and the man ran over and killed three officers blocking his way.

Chinese citizens demonstrate over closure of cities and commercial stores after testing negative for COVID
Since the end of August, the situation in several cities has become tenser due to restrictions, police repression, and constant COVID tests.
People are worried because they do not know how long these closures, which have affected families socially and economically, will last.
For example, in Shapingba, Chongqing, citizens protested for the Chinese regime to end the zero- COVID campaign.
Others commented that after testing negative for nucleic acid for ten consecutive days, they were still not allowed to leave their homes.
These situations prompted hundreds of people to take to the streets in protest.
However, the CCP immediately sent the police to arrest the angry crowd.

Dong, a Chongqing resident, denounced that the CCP, once it finds a single positive case of COVID, will shut the whole city down.
Zero-COVID campaign produces dissatisfaction among citizens
One of the factors that upset the population of the city of Shijiazhuang, Hebei, was that after the city was closed, approximately 5 million people had to undergo endless rounds of nucleic acid testing.
Others commented that traffic in several cities became paralyzed. For example, one resident commented that the train coming from Tibet was not allowed to enter Beijing, and all passengers had to get off in Shijiazhuang.
In Shanghai, people suffered in confinement for more than two months, especially in retail stores, which went into crisis after long periods of closures and still cannot recover.
In addition, many people reported inhumane treatment when the person tested positive for COVID and commented on the appalling and unsanitary conditions of the quarantine facilities.
On the other hand, several cities complained about the lack of food and protested by banging pots and pans and shouting out of windows.
Others are concerned about the excessive surveillance supposedly used to prevent the pandemic, which resulted in increased repression and controls.
Recently, many acts of police violence were exposed by the police themselves as a warning to citizens, especially if they dared to open their stores.
One user said, “The scariest thing is that this video was taken and posted by police officers, who think they did “a good thing.”
While the world is already returning to normal life, the CCP continues with its extreme confinement measures in defiance of the people. How long will the people put up with this disregard for their lives and dignity?
