The ultra-left group BLM calls on allies to shop only at black-owned businesses to “end white supremacist capitalism” in the face of the conspicuous silence from some corporations that make the most significant contributions to Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.

As reported by Fox Business, the campaign dubbed “Black Christmas” using the hashtag #BlackXmas launched by the leftist foundation was announced on Nov. 24 through a statement that, among other things, read: “Capitalism doesn’t love Black people.”

White supremacist-capitalism invented policing, initially as chattel-slavery-era “paddy rollers,” to protect its interests and put targets on the backs of Black people.”

The statement concludes, “#BlackXmas challenges us to shake off the chains of consumerism and step fully into our own collective power, to build new traditions, and run an offense as well as a defense. Let’s harness our economic power to disrupt white-supremacist-capitalism and build Black community.” 

Meanwhile on the website called, which promotes boycotting corporations, reads, “We’re dreaming of a #BlackXmas. That means no spending with white companies from 11/26/2021 through 01/01/2022.”

As Fox News reports, “Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation has received significant donations from corporations around the world,” among which it mentions Airbnb, Amazon, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Intel, Microsoft, Bungie, and Mondelēz International. Still, all of them are staying silent in the face of BLM’s boycott request.

The BlackXmas page poses to supporters, “Build in Black, Buy in Black, and Bank in Black.”

Regarding “Build Black,” the page says, “We seek not to replace white-capitalism with Black-capitalism, but to shake off the call to rampant consumerism and use our dollars intentionally to build Black community.” Adding, “Instead of spending our money on meaningless items, let’s support black-led, black-serving organizations.

As for “Buy Black,” the page writes that it “is the engine of # Blackxmas’s cooperative economics. It is intended to help replenish the Black dollar within local communities, and keep the dollar circulating for much longer than when making purchases at non-Black business.”

The website even lists where to shop at black-owned businesses in places like Los Angeles or South Bend, Indiana, and urges donations “to black-led black organizations on behalf of loved ones as holiday gifts.” 

The violent far-left organization fuels hatred and resentment that generated repudiation on the networks, even among netizens who had supported the movement. Many called the boycott “racist” and questioned what would happen if whites called for a month-long boycott of black-owned businesses, as indicated by the British media Express, quoting a Twitter user who wrote

“My heart sank when I saw this article about the #blacklivesmatter campaign for a #BlackXmas.” He added, “I’ve heard of fighting fire with fire, but I’ve never heard of fighting racism with racism. We either want to end racism, or we don’t. I won’t be doing this.”

And another tweeted, “How did #BlackLivesMatter go from fighting injustice from Police, to every white person is racist? I support all businesses, so should everyone else.This group is really showing their racism, and they wonder why support is dropping.”
